The clay pebbles serve as a water and nutrient reservoir for hydroponics and potted plants. They provide an even supply of moisture and nutrients to the plants. Clay pebbles are used particularly in hydroponics, where they play an important role in aeration and drainage. Thanks to their porous structure, they promote oxygen supply to the roots and counteract waterlogging. Another advantage of clay pebbles is their ability to bind water and release it gradually over time. This creates favourable conditions for the plants. They are reusable.

Directions

Optionally soak in water for 24 hours. Use as a 2–5 cm drainage layer in pots or planters, or mix 10–30% clay pebbles into potting soil.
