The picnic blanket with a difference - with an insulating and moisture-repellent underside made from rice sacks. Let the outdoor season come!

The underside, which is made of hand-woven cotton, can be removed for washing so that the fabric can be washed separately in the washing machine (30°C).

The story behind it: Rice & Carry is a fair trade project to support women on the east coast of Sri Lanka and is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). Discarded rice and jute sacks are processed into various upcycling products. The bags of rice and spices usually come from markets or restaurants and are collected for a second purpose. In the factory they are then washed, dried and sewn into a wide range of products by employees. More information about WFTO at www.wfto.com
